We told you that the ScrewAttack Convention’s Iron-Man of Gaming tournament would be an eight game multi-genre battle that would end with a couple of mystery games that haven’t been released to the public. It turns out that the big mystery game was Sega’s upcoming Sonic revival, Sonic 4.

In the video above you can see the insane reaction when they announced the mystery game at the event. The lights dim. Craig, the only guy I know that looks good in shorts, steps away.  A countdown starts. Then blackness. Silence. Then, the famous Sonic rings sound.

Cheers. Wild cheers.

The crowd goes f*ckin’ nuts. Definitely an amazing moment. I wish I could have been there.

It should be noted that the other debut was Hydro Thunder: Hurricane. Congrats to ScrewAttack!
