Sethos has arrived in Genshin Impact, and if he’s joining your team, you’ll need to Ascend him and level his Talents. Here’s everything you need to get your Sethos up to speed!
Character Ascension
Cloudseam Scales – Solitary Suanni
Sethos’ world boss is the Solitary Suanni in Liyue’s Chenyu Vale area. Try to bring a Cryo character to freeze the Suanni when it imbues itself with Hydro. Then, once frozen, hit it with a blunt attack to trigger Shatter and stun the Suanni.
Sethos needs 46 Cloudseam Scales to reach max Ascension. This means challenging the Solitary Suanni about 18 times at World Level 8.
Trishiraite
Trishiraite are clusters of red crystals found in the upper deserts of Sumeru. Bring Tighnari and a Claymore user to make gathering easier.
Sethos will need a total of 168 Trishiraites to reach level 90. There are only 57 Trishiraites in Teyvat, and they respawn 48 hours after collecting, so you’ll need to make three runs in order to get enough. If you’re short on Trhshiraite and impatient, try asking a friend if you can farm in their world.
Eremite blindfolds
As a desert dweller, Sethos has plenty of experience dealing with hostile Eremites. It shouldn’t be too surprising that he has a collection of Eremite blindfolds. You can find Eremite enemies throughout Sumeru.
Sethos needs a total of 18 Faded Red Satins, 30 Trimmed Red Silks, and 36 Rich Red Brocades for his character Ascension. Be sure to farm extra if you want to level up Sethos’ Talents.
Vajrada Amethysts
Sethos uses purple Electro gems in order to Ascend. His world boss, the Solitary Suanni, does not drop Vajrada Amethysts. You can convert some gems of another element by using Dust of Azoth at any alchemy bench.
For level 90, Sethos will need 1 Vajrada Amethyst Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, and 6 Gemstones.
Talent Levels
The material totals below reflect the amount needed to raise all three of Sethos’ Talents to level 10. In reality, you can prioritize Sethos’ Normal Attack Talent while leaving the other two unleveled. If you are using Sethos’ Burst, though, you should level that Talent as well.
Praxis Books
Sethos’ Talents are leveled using Praxis books. You can farm these from the Sumeru Talent domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
For maximum Talent levels, Sethos will need 9 brown books, 63 silver books, and 114 gold books. This translates to around 2,480 Resin spent in the Talent domain.
Eremite blindfolds
Eremite enemies can be found all throughout Sumeru, in both the desert and rainforest areas.
Sethos’ Talents require 18 Faded Red Satins, 66 Trimmed Red Silks, and 93 Rich Red Brocades to reach level 10.
Daka’s Bell – Scaramouche
Sethos’ weekly boss materials come from the Sumeru boss Scaramouche. You can access the domain under Sumeru City if you’ve completed Sumeru’s Archon Quests, but you can also quick-start the challenge via the Adventurer’s handbook.
Sethos’ Talents will need a total of 18 bells. If you’re farming at max difficulty, this means around 8 weeks of farming.
