Everyone and everything looks good in a bow tie, and Sony’s pint-sized hero Clank is no exception. The first game with him in a starring role, the PlayStation Portable title Secret Agent Clank, has just been given a release date — June 17.
Secret Agent Clank finds Clank’s furry pal Ratchet behind bars for a crime that he didn’t commit, which means only one thing — it’s time to put on a bow tie and kick some ass. Using a variety of James Bond-esque gadgets — cuff link bombs, a flaming pen, jet boots, a tie that acts as a boomerang — Clank will platform and fight through multiple areas to help clear his friend’s name.
Having recently just picked up a copy of Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters for the PSP, I know that developer High Impact Games is up to the task of bringing a solid action/platforming experience to the handheld. Let’s hope that they work on some of the camera issues that nearly ruined the Size Matters experience for me. Unsurprisingly, Sony hasn’t sent over a preview build of the game for us to play, so we’ll all have to wait until June 17 to see how this one turns out.
