If the rumors are right, the Yakuza team is making a sci-fi shooter called Binary Domain. This all came from a supposed Famitsu leak. According to Siliconera, members of the Yakuza team plus overseas (presumably Western developers) staff are collaborating to create the game. The game is set in Tokyo in the year 2080, and it will feature online play and high-level AI. The leaker says that Sega will release this game globally.
Screens from this supposed leak are all CG. One shows a buddhist monk shooting a robot solidier from a third person view. This could point to Binary Domain being a third-person shooter. Being that it’ll come from Japan, that’s a safe bet.
For now, take all of this with a grain of salt. I’m sure we’ll hear more later though.
