[Update: Thanks to reader Touya for pointing out that the Akuma in question is actually “Shin Akuma,” not “Oni Akuma” as originally reported.]

We heard a while back that the 3DS version of Super Street Fighter 4 would be getting all the content from the PS3/360 original, but what exactly “all” means in a situation like this is open to interpretation. It could mean “all of the content immediately available on the game disc”, or it could also include the stuff made available later on via in-game unlocking and DLC purchase.

It looks like the later may be the case. According to this rumor, Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma (seen above in their classic Capcom Vs. SNK 2 forms), will be making the jump to the 3DS port, and that’s not all. Yun and Yang are also rumored to be a part of the 3DS package, and one new 3DS-exclusive character may be in the cards as well. My vote goes to Haggar. They can just borrow his Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 character model for the day.

I think it’s pretty crazy that the 3DS version of the game is going to be so huge. Makes me wonder how much it’s going to cost, and how the fans will react either way. Will they feel slighted or grateful if the 3DS port costs less, but includes more, than the PS3/360 version of the game?
