The Ruins of Eridu can be a solid dungeon for farming in Diablo 4. It’s a very easy dungeon to complete and has a final boss that has few mechanics and is killed with ease. The generated layout of the dungeon can be a bit tedious, and the objectives often require a little bit of backtracking.

Even so, some still prefer to farm this dungeon because the final boss is a real pushover. To help assist you, we’ve put together this guide on finding the Ruins of Eridu location and directions for completing the dungeon in Diablo 4.

The Ruins of Eridu are located in the Toxic Fens area of the Hawezar region. First, head to the Vyeresz waypoint located in the middle and southern area of Hawezar. Once here, head directly west out of Vyeresz and you will see the Ruins of Eridu dungeon entrance.

Upon entering the Ruins of Eridu you will receive your first dungeon objective: Slay all enemies in the Rotting Hall. The Rotting Hall is the initial area of the dungeon and is actually very small. You will typically have to kill about 15-20 enemies before receiving your next objective: Travel to the Fallen Chambers.

A previously blocked-off area will now be unlocked leading into the Fallen Chambers. Once you progress further into the dungeon, you will be tasked with Slaying 2 Banes of Eridu. The Bane of Eridu monster is an Elite monster, not a Boss. The Fallen Chambers usually branch into two separate circular rooms with each one hosting a Bane of Eridu.

Once they have both been slain, you are instructed to Travel to the Lair of the Riser. This is actually the final area of the dungeon and is home to the final boss. Entering the Lair of the Riser will grant your final dungeon objective: Defeat the Spiritcaller of Flames.

Spiritcaller of Flames Boss Guide

It’s no exaggeration to claim this may be the easiest boss in Diablo 4. For starters, he’s very squishy and takes a lot of damage with each hit.

He does periodically perform a melee attack but it does very minimal damage. Occasionally he will fling a small cone of three fireballs in front of him. You can easily Evade this attack, but don’t bother: they do very little damage.

Throughout the fight, the Spiritcaller of Flames will also summon some Fallen Demon enemies. They are very weak and you can kill them via cleave and area of effect damage while focusing on the boss. Finally, he will drop totems throughout the area you are fighting. These totems pulsate in a very small AOE dealing damage if you are near them. They will also occasionally shoot three fireballs in a small cone at you. Once again, while easily avoidable, they do very little damage.

You should be able to bring the Spiritcaller of Flames to zero health in no time, and his death will mark the completion of the dungeon.

Rewards for completing the Ruins of Eridu in Diablo 4

The main goal of running Ruins of Eridu is the chance for quick and easy quality loot for killing the Spiritcaller of Flames boss at the end. Unfortunately, you cannot currently run the Ruins of Eridu as a Nightmare Dungeon.

Upon completing the Ruins of Eridu for the first time you will receive 30 Renown and the Sacrificial Offensive Aspect for your Codex of Power. This is a Necromancer-only Aspect that increases the bonuses of your Sacrifice.
