“As a small studio of thirteen, weā€™re so proud of the work weā€™ve put into For The King II. Weā€™ve worked hard developing new gameplay innovations, features and systems that have built on the successful For The King experience to make it even more enjoyable. We canā€™t wait for players and friends to party up and start their adventure on November 2nd!”

-Sterling Andverson, Studio Directors of Iron Oak Games

For the King II builds upon the formula of the successful original. It blends strategic gameplay, JRPG turn-based combat, and roguelite elements that parallel a tabletop adventure. Also, players will now be able to co-op with up to four players as opposed to three.

Based on the trailer, it looks like this is just more For the King. Which in my opinion is not a bad thing at all. I have dozens of hours in the original. If you can find a friend or two to play with it’s a good time. However, I’ll admit, itt can be a bit frustrating at times when bad RNG can cause the end of a run out of nowhere. But, such is the roguelite life I suppose.

For the King II releases on PC via Steam on November 2.
