“As a small studio of thirteen, weāre so proud of the work weāve put into For The King II. Weāve worked hard developing new gameplay innovations, features and systems that have built on the successful For The King experience to make it even more enjoyable. We canāt wait for players and friends to party up and start their adventure on November 2nd!”
-Sterling Andverson, Studio Directors of Iron Oak Games
For the King II builds upon the formula of the successful original. It blends strategic gameplay, JRPG turn-based combat, and roguelite elements that parallel a tabletop adventure. Also, players will now be able to co-op with up to four players as opposed to three.
Based on the trailer, it looks like this is just more For the King. Which in my opinion is not a bad thing at all. I have dozens of hours in the original. If you can find a friend or two to play with it’s a good time. However, I’ll admit, itt can be a bit frustrating at times when bad RNG can cause the end of a run out of nowhere. But, such is the roguelite life I suppose.
For the King II releases on PC via Steam on November 2.
