When I was prepping a headline for this article, I was going to make reference to the ridiculous, “I live my life a quarter mile at a time,” line, but it turns out developer Psyonix has already made The Fast and the Furious DLC for Rocket League. Imagine my surprise that my totally original reference couldn’t be used. Anyway, on October 11, we’ll be getting even more Fast and the Furious DLC to play around with.

Coming through a promotion with Universal Studios, Rocket League will be receiving the ’99 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 and the ’70 Dodge Charger R/T. There will also be a bunch of decals included with each car, which are going for $1.99 a piece. Why not check out this trailer to see them in action (please don’t state the obvious answer in the comments)?!

Having finally gotten around to playing Rocket League for more than 10 minutes at a time, I definitely like the way Psyonix handles DLC. Its great having all the maps and modes being free in patches while things like this are relegated to paid extras. I don’t give a flying crap about The Fast and the Furious, but I’m sure a lot of people do and would like to race in those cars. Why lock them into an expansion with more substantial content when I would never use them?
