Introducing the Queue Dodge

With the massive success of League of Legends, Riot Games has needed to do quite a bit of hiring. Like any company in that position, it’s found that not all new staff members are a good fit with the team’s culture. That’s why it’s giving them the opportunity to get out with some cash in-hand before they’re in too deep.

Riot Games has introduced the Queue Dodge — a new initiative that allows new hires to quit within their first 60 days and be given ten percent of their annual salary, up to $25,000. “If someone gags on the unique flavor of our culture, they’d be doing themselves and the company a disservice to hang on just for the paycheck,” Riot states.

While it’s a generous offering, don’t get the impression that Riot wants new members to quit. “We don’t want to actively push people out or dare them to leave, but we do want to provide a well-lit, safe exit path,” the announcement post reads. Ultimately, the Queue Dodge will be best for both Riot and the employees that take advantage of it.
