There are some villagers in Fields of Mistria who are attracting more attention than others. Along with the butter coffee loving Blacksmith Olric, one of the Saturday Market vendors is making waves. Here’s what you need to know about befriending Darcy.
Disclaimer: No, Darcy isn’t romanceable and there’s a chance that she never will be. However, with NPC Studios being so open to player feedback and the amount of players requesting the ability to romance Darcy, there’s no telling what could develop between the two of you in the future.
Building a relationship with Darcy may be more problematic, due to her only being in town once a week, but some things are worth putting the time in for, right? Besides, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. At the very least, even if you can never try to woo her, you can be best pals with the Cafe owner and that can never be a bad thing.
As Fields of Mistria is currently in Early Access, all of the villagers have some preferred gifts which currently aren’t available in the game. As such, I’m going to skip over these and focus instead on items which can be found, as well as where to find them. If new items are added, I’ll update this guide.
Darcy’s loved gifts in Fields of Mistria
As the owner of Mistria’s premier cafe stall, Darcy has a sweet tooth and a love for delicious treats. Some of these are much easier to get than others, but let’s take a look at all of her loved gifts:
Gift | How to get |
Chocolate | Can be purchased from Balor’s Wagon when available |
Coconut Milk | Processed in the Mill from Coconuts, which are foraged from Palm Trees on the Beach |
Sugar | Processed in the Mill from Sugarcane, which is grown from a seed in the Summer |
Darcy’s liked gifts in Fields of Mistria
It might be a good idea to give Darcy more liked gifts, rather than those she loves, because most of her liked gifts can be foraged at different times of the year or otherwise grown on your farm. As a rule, if it can be foraged and then eaten, Darcy will probably like it.

What not to give Darcy in Fields of Mistria
Darcy, like all other villagers, does not appreciate getting any of the following:
- Junk items such as Fiber, Hay, Cattail, Acorn, Pinecone, Sod or Sap
- Any bugs
In addition, Darcy seems to be particularly horrified if you try to give her an Ant. I don’t know what sets this tiny insect apart from the rest, but I wouldn’t suggest giving one to Darcy if you want to get close to her.
