Revenant is leading the current Apex Legends meta with the best win rate in ranked games

Revenant, the killer robot, is at the top of the Apex Legends meta list.

Apex Legends, the battle royale game from Respawn Entertainment, goes through a variety of balance changes every season, as the developers work hard to ensure that the meta around the game constantly shifts, keeping things fresh for fans in the live-service title.

Up until the latest changes, Apex Legends meta revolved around the use of the Havoc weapon and the powerful combination of Bangaloreā€™s smokes and Bloodhoundā€™s ultimate ability. All three of these received noticeable nerfs when the Season 21 Double Take Collection Event arrived.

Now that Bloodhound and Bangalore have fallen a bit off the chart when it comes to pick rates, with the likes of Pathfinder and Lifeline currently on top, here are the characters that the top Apex Legends players use to win their Ranked games.

Revenant, the killer robot, is at the top of the Apex Legends meta list at the time of writing (via Apex Legends Status). Currently, the top Apex Legends players are experiencing a 49.4% win rate when they are playing with Revenant, and the pick rate is at 25.2%. These stats are not based on the performance of all Apex Legends players. Instead, the stats are based on the ranked matches played by the top 100 Apex Legends players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

While Revenant is ranked at the top of the list, Pathfinder actually has a better win-rate of 49.9% but with a pick rate of 24.9%. However, it is more interesting to find Revenant up there. The Skirmisher Legend is not that high up on the list in the pick rate among all Apex Legends. This may suggest that the majority of players are yet to adopt Revenant and play with the character more frequently.

Ever since Revenant received a complete overhaul with a new look and abilities, the character has slowly emerged as a character that top Apex Legends players have been picking. The new Legend upgrade system also added a new layer to Revenant, allowing players to make Revenant even more aggressive than before.

Given that Apex Predator players in Ranked are likely to play with an aggressive approach, the Legend offers abilities to support that playstyle. It is perhaps also why other ranked players are not opting for Revenant, especially if their playstyle prioritizes finishing ranked games in the Top 5, rather than going out actively looking for squads to eliminate.
