Rasitakiwak Shrine location and solution for Tears of the Kingdom (Totk)

Rasitakiwak Shrine, aside from being a mouthful, is one of the most enjoyable shrines thatĀ Tears of the KingdomĀ has to offer. If you’re familiar with the Proving Grounds series of shrines, this one won’t be too much of a surprise. However, unlike other Proving Grounds that test your ability to fight constructs using shields, bows, or swords, Rasitakiwak is all about vehicle combat. Which isn’t something that many people would have expected the sequel to Breath of the Wild to excel in. Yet, excel it does.Ā  We’ll cover everything you need to know to complete the shrine below, but first, let’s take a look at where to find it.

How to find Rasitakiwak Shrine inĀ Tears of the Kingdom

Rasitakiwak Shrine is located in the Akkala Highlands region of Hyrule. The shrine can be found between Lake Akkala and Kaepora Pass to the southeast of Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower. Unless you’ve unlocked another nearby shrine, Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower is the quickest way to get to the shrine. Two full stamina wheels will get you from the tower to the shrine with a mixture of freefalling and gliding. If you have fewer stamina upgrades, you can still make it most of the way. Check out the screenshot above for the exact location of Rasitakiwak Shrine on the map.

How to complete Rasitakiwak Shrine

When you enter Rasitakiwak Shrine, Link will be stripped of all his clothes, weapons, and items. Like other shrines in this category, you have to defeat all of the constructs inside using only what has been provided. In this case, you need to kill all of the constructs using the vehicles in the room.

There are three immediately obvious vehicles when you enter the room. A small golf cart-type thing, a bigger car, and a plane up on the platform opposite the entrance. You can choose whatever you like to fight the constructs, but none of these are the most efficient killing machines.

Make a beeline for the plane and use Ascend to travel up to its platform. When you get on the plane to fly it, you’re going to want to head for the large cage in the middle of the room. It looks impenetrable, but there’s no roof. When you’re above the cage, like in the picture above, simply glide down into the cage. So long as you’re in here, the constructs can’t attack you.

In the middle of the cage is the largest vehicle in the shrine, and it’s not just its impressive size that will scare the bolts off the constructs outside. This baby comes preloaded with cannons at the front. Pirate style. But wait, there’s more! On either side of the cage, there are more weapons that can be attached to this bad boy. We went with flames shooting from the right, electricity shooting from the left, and frost coming out of the back. Oh, and another cannon on the back for good measure. Check the screenshot above for the placement of our upgrades.

Once you’re satisfied with your Hylian batmobile, you need to open the cage. Take one of the miscellaneous items left over within the cage, like the hydrant or construct head, and place one on the pressure plate in the corner of the cage. Note that once you open the cage, it’s highly likely the constructs will come right for you. Open it and get on your vehicle as quickly as you can.

To drive your batmobile, you need to hop on top and stand on the control panel. Press “A” to start driving it. You use the left analog stick for all of the controls, forward picks up speed, back slows, stops, and then reverses, and left and right control the direction. You need to drive the vehicle around so that the constructs come into contact with whatever weapons are most convenient to kill them. The most important thing is not to get the vehicle stuck. It’s easy to crash into a wall or get a construct stuck underneath the vehicle, which will stop it and leave you vulnerable. The constructs only need to hit you a couple of times to deal big damage.

Once you have the driving down, take out all the constructs in the room. The health bar at the top of the screen is the combined health of all the constructs you need to kill. Once it reaches zero, the exit will open.

On your way out, make sure to collect the Magic Rod from the chest.

That’s it! Rasitakiwak Shrine is complete!
