Top 10 Rarest Fortnite Skins of all time (2024)

Only some lucky players can rock these skins.

Fortnite is chock-full of all kinds of skins. From pop culture icons to customizable outfits for existing characters, there are endless possibilities when it comes to choosing who you want to be when you drop into a match. However, you’re not able to choose just any skin you want, since many skins are exclusive to seasons, or when they appear in the shop. That makes for plenty of rare skins. Here are the top 10 rarest skins that you can find in Fortnite as of 2024.

10. Honor Guard

The Honor Guard skin, first released back in Season 7, was only available by purchasing the Honor View 20 smartphone. Since then, it hasn’t been released in any other capacity, making it among one of the rarest Fortnite skins. It’s unlikely you’ll come across this skin anytime soon.

9. Shaman

Released back in Season Eight, this spooky skin hasn’t been seen in the shop since late 2019. On top of that, it cost 1,500 V-Bucks to get a hold of. Nowadays, this skin is a rare sight to behold. However, it’s definitely one of the coolest skins in the game, so hopefully, it’ll make a comeback someday.

8. Black Widow

Released back in 2019 when Avengers: Endgame was being promoted, the Black Widow skin turns you into the assassin from the famous Marvel movies. However, this skin hasn’t been seen in the shop since May 2019, when it cost 1,500 V-Bucks to obtain. It’s the rarest of all the Marvel skins in Fortnite, and it’s unlikely we’ll see this skin come back anytime soon.

7. Gold Peely

If you were able to achieve level 300 in the Battle Pass of Chapter 2 Season 2 of the game, you were rewarded with this golden version of the Agent Peely skin for your hard work. Since it required so much playtime to unlock, this skin is now one of the rarest you can come across when playing the game. For any player that got it, it’s quite the badge of honor.

6. Double Helix

The Double Helix skin is an exclusive that can only be unlocked for those who purchased the Nintendo Switch Double Helix Bundle. This bundle included the Nintendo Switch console, 1,000 V-Bucks, and the full Double Helix Set. Being as you had to purchase a whole console just to get this skin, it’s definitely one of the rarest skins in Fortnite, and coming across it is not likely.

5. Black Knight

This Legendary skin was only unlockable by reaching Tier 70 in the Battle Pass for Season 2. Since it hasn’t been available since then (Season 2 ended in February 2018), the Black Knight is one of the most coveted skins in the game. If you come across this skin, you’re likely playing with a veteran who’s been around for years.

4. The Reaper

No, this is not the John Wick skin. The Reaper skin came out long before any collaboration, although it was clearly based on the popular assassin. You could only get your hands on this skin by reaching Tier 100 of the Season 3 Battle Pass. Since The Reaper hasn’t been available since then, it’s safe to say that this is one of the rarest skins in Fortnite.

3. Renegade Raider

This skin is one of the originals. It was released all the way back in Season 1 Chapter 1 of the game when it could be purchased for 1,200 V-Bucks after reaching Level 20. This skin hasn’t been made available to players since then, making it one of the rarest skins to see when you play the game. It’s likely this skin will never be released again, making it highly exclusive.

2. Aerial Assault Trooper

Similar to the Renegade Raider, the Aerial Assault Trooper skin could be bought for 1,200 V-Bucks after reaching Level 15 during Season 1. Seeing as how this was back in 2017, you need to be a veteran of Fortnite to have this skin. It hasn’t been seen since Season 1, so finding a player running around with this skin equipped is not an everyday experience.

1. Galaxy

As thanks for testing out Fortnite on mobile devices from Samsung Galaxy, like the Note 9 or Tab S4, the Galaxy skin was rewarded to those who played three games on them. This skin hasn’t been available since, which was all the way back in Season 7 in 2018. Based on how long ago that was, and how you needed to play Fortnite on very specific devices, the Galaxy skin is easily the rarest skin in Fortnite. It’s also one of the best, making it even more coveted.
