The rarest fish in Fisch by ranking

1. Emperor Jellyfish (Mythic)

The stuff of dreams for many Fisch players, this huge Jellyfish can only be found at the Desolate Deep. Do not be mistaken, as they will put up a fight and even use stalactites to defend themselves. Not only that, but they will also inflict a hefty 75% speed decrease while moving around quite fast themselves. You can find them in rainy weather, and you should use a magnet as bait. They’re also worth 4500XP when you catch one!

2. Glacierfish (Mythic)

Glacierfish is quite a big fish found in cold saltwater, easily recognized by its distinctive pink fin. Even for experienced Fisch players, those can be tough to catch, since they will inflict a 15% speed decrease on the player. Plus, they move erratically.

They can be found at Snowcap Cave, plus also at the Snowcap Island docks, they prefer the rainy weather and will be found mostly at night. They only give you 400XP when caught, though.

3. Obsidian Swordfish (Mythic)

The Obsidian Swordish, with its unique black opaque skin, can be found at Roslit Bay. There’s also a good chance you’ll find one around the Roslit Volcano. Not only they are quite rare but will also be difficult to catch as they are strong creatures. They’ll also inflict a 20% speed decrease on you, but give you a handy 1000XP when caught.

4. Lepidotes (Mythic)

Another fish thought to be extinct, this is one of the toughest fish in the game. While it won’t inflict a speed decrease on you, it will still make for a challenging catch because of its erratic movement. Use a Deep coral bait in Ancient Archives for a chance to snag one, in any weather and at any time of the day. They only give you 500XP when caught, but overcoming the challenge is more than enough reward.

5. Whisker Bill (Mythic)

If you are looking for at least one mythological creature to add to your inventory, then the Whisker Bill should be the one for you. Thought to be extinct, they are still around and as strong as ever, even though they are a bit slower than other fish. But don’t be mistaken, as their movement is erratic and they’ll inflict a 20% speed decrease on the player.

They can be found in Moosewood at any time during the day, in any weather and season. Use a truffle worm to attract one, and it will give you a lowly 150XP when caught.

6. Handfish (Mythic)

The Handfish is one tough customer. While it looks surprisingly small, it moves fast and won’t be caught easily since it walks rather than swims. Use an insect in Mushgrove Swamp if you do want to catch one, but you will have to wait for foggy weather in the Spring. They give you 500XP when caught.

7. Great White Shark (Mythic)

You can’t really go wrong with one of those big sharks, they are angry, strong, and don’t want to get caught. But, worst of all, you’ll have to wait for a Shark Hunt Event if you want to get one, as they won’t pop up otherwise. The shark moves quite erratically and will also inflict a 30% speed decrease on you. You’ll need to use a Fish Head to catch one, and you’re in for a healthy 1000XP if you can land it.

8. Alligator (Legendary)

Wait, that’s no fish, that’s a reptile! Indeed, in Fisch, you can catch an alligator as well, and they can be found in Mushgrove Swamp by using fish heads as bait. They are quite a hard catch, despite their legendary rank, but they will give you 400XP if you can handle their fast movement. They prefer the foggy and rainy weather and appear mostly during the night.

9. Dumbo Octopus (Legendary)

This Disney-like fish is gently waiting at Roslit Bay. Due to its high rarity, it makes for a challenging catch, moving sporadically across the fishing bar. While reeling it in, you will be inflicted with a 15% speed decrease. This big-eared fellow can be found mostly in the Winter when it is rainy. Offers you 400XP when caught.

10. Whale Shark (Mythic)

While more friendly than their Great White counterpart, do not be fooled as these predators will still put up a fight when caught. They can be found during Shark Hunt events, but also called up with enchantments. Overall, they are quite good value and are among the easiest of the tough fish to catch, as they move slowly. They do inflict a 70% speed decrease though, so stay on your guard. Use a shrimp as bait for the chance to get one of these.
