Thus far, Rocket League has seen some phenomenal success on PC and PlayStation 4 (in part due to the PlayStation Plus promotion), and developer Psyonix hasn’t been shy about its desires to move onto other platforms in the past. In an interview with Red Bull, Psyonix CEO Dave Hagewood reiterates that point, adding that announcements on specific platforms would be here “hopefully before the end of the year.”

The quote comes as a response to seeing Rocket League on Xbox One specifically, but Hagewood says the studio is “looking at all kinds of platforms” for its game. So not only might it come to Microsoft’s console, but perhaps it will get some Nintendo love too. Would I play soccar on a Wii U GamePad while my wife watches Grey’s Anatomy on the big TV? Yes, yes I would.
