The PlayStation Store came back last night, and naturally that means only one thing … people are struggling to access the PlayStation Store.

The PlayStation Network is trying to deal with an inevitable surge of traffic as people desperately try to get their hands on weeks of backed up content. Sony has confirmed that “extremely high traffic” is causing people to receive error messages, but that it’ll ease up as the day goes on.

“There are so many of you accessing the store at the moment that due to the excessive load, it is a little slow,” said Nick Caplin. “We are improving it as I write this, so you will see improvements in speed as the day progresses.”

If you absolutely must get your inFAMOUS 2 demo right this instant, you should be able to just keep trying and blast through any error messages. Just be aware that you’re part of the problem if you do this, and thus you are scum.
