PS4 app The Playroom removed from Twitch directory

That was fun while it lasted

While the kinds of creative streaming shows folks have been putting on with the PlayStation 4 app The Playroom sound like good fun to me — the ones without dudes showing their junk, that is — they rather predictably aren’t all gaming-focused and that’s led to Twitch taking action.

“We removed Playroom content from the directory because a majority of it was non-gaming related,” a Twitch representative told Joystiq. “We will look into adding it back as PS4 owners become more familiar with the games-only focus of Twitch content. In the meantime, you can view all of the amazing gameplay from PS4 broadcasters in this directory page on Twitch.”

That didn’t take long at all. I do hope Twitch eventually brings it back, though I suspect many of the offenders are fully aware of the site’s “games-only focus” already.
