Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask Billy and O’Nare locations and reward

Capitalism never rests, even in Paldea.

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask DLC, there are several side quests that require a bit of legwork on behalf of the player. To be frank, some of them only give vague hints as to how to start the quest, but they don’t hold your hand or tell you what to do. One of these quests has you chasing a pair of one-percenters across both Kitakami and Paldea — but, at least the rewards are nice.

To start this quest, you’ll need to find Billy and O’Nare just outside of Mossui Town in Kitakami. They can be seen on a cliff above the rice paddies, and you’ll know it’s them because of the gold speech bubbles that appear when you approach them. Oh, also their gaudy golden attire. O’Nare will ask for a battle, but she only has a Persian. Take her out, earn your 17,420 poke dollars, and you’ll be able to move on to the second stage of this quest.

Second stage — Fury Falls (Paldea)

Fury Falls is located in Eastern Paldea, near the Firescourge Shrine. You’ll find Billy and O’Nare looking at a waterfall. Interact with them to receive 15 Big Pearls.

Third stage — South Province Area One / South Province Area Five (Paldea)

You’ll find these rascally rich folks in an area between South Province Area One and Area Five. The easiest and quickest way to find them is by flying to Los Platos (likely the first area you explored in the game, just south of the academy) and heading east. Interact with Billy and O’Nare and they’ll give you 15 Nuggets.

Fourth stage — Apple Hills (Kitakami)

You can find Billy and O’Nare back in Kitakami, hidden in the apple orchards in Apple Hills. It can be kind of hard to spot them, but if you look carefully, you’ll find them admiring an apple tree, just off the path between orchards. O’Nare will ask you to duel once more, but again, all she has is a Persian. Make quick work of it and accept your 17,420 poke dollars to move on to the fifth encounter.

Fifth stage — Casseroya Lake (Paldea)

Back in Paldea, fly to the Casseroya Watchtower No. 1 and climb to the top. Hop on Koraidon/Miraidon and set your sights on the southernmost island of Casseroya Lake, which will be to your northwest. Glide as far as you possibly can; you won’t make it the whole way, but at least you’ll get a nice view. Interact with Billy and O’Nare, and they’ll give you 10 Pearl Strings. You’re in the home stretch, now.

Sixth stage — Glaseado Mountain (Paldea)

You’re almost done. For this penultimate step, head for the best place in the world, Glaseado Mountain. I know it’s hard to convey tone over text, but I trust you could sense my sarcasm just now. If you have a fast travel beacon at the peak of the mountain, take it — it’ll make this much easier.

Like in the last step, get on Miraidon or Koraidon and glide straight north off the mountain. You won’t make it all the way, but that’s OK because you’ll need to just keep gliding north until you see the affront to fashion that is Billy and O’Nare. If you go too far north, use the river as a milestone; they are west of the river when facing north. Interact with them when you find them and they’ll give you 10 Big Nuggets.

Seventh (final) stage — The Great Crater of Paldea

OK, final stretch. If you fast travel to South Province (Area Three), turn left facing away from the gate and just scale the Great Crater using Miraidon or Koraidon, you’ll find Billy and O’Nare overlooking Area Zero on one side, and the academy / Pokemon League on the other. You might miss them if you’re not paying close attention, as their outfits can blend into the scenery.

O’Nare will once again ask to duel, and what’s more, this time she’ll bring one extra ‘mon! It’s an Arboliva, so crush it, along with Persian. In exchange for winning, you’ll earn 35,052 poke dollars, 25 Big Nuggets, a Glitterati Phone Case, and the Oh No! emote. I guess, in the end, the reward is worth the effort. Just barely, though.
