To stay updated, here’s the current Pokémon Go Community Day schedule for October 2024.

When is the next Community Day in Pokémon Go?

The next Pokémon Go Community Day begins on Nov. 10, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time. Mankey will be the star of the show, where you’ll encounter them more frequently in the wilds. A Shiny variant may also appear, but the chances will be pretty slim.

Mankey is a Fighting Type Pokémon with a few robust moves. Those who evolve its base or Primeape forms on Community Day will earn the Charged Attack Rage Fist. This particular maneuver features 50 power, increasing its Attack within its first stage. It also comes with 100 power for Gyms and Raids to help you turn the tides in battle. If you happen to miss this opportunity, you can still evolve it up to five hours after the event’s conclusion.

To improve your chances of evolving or catching Shiny variants, try to capture as many Mankeys as possible. The more you acquire it, the more you’ll farm its candy for upgrades. Additionally, Mankey showcases a Special Research task with a premium purchase. Buy this exclusive story for $1 to unlock more challenges.

Mankey Community Day event bonuses

While the Pokémon Go Community Day is active, you can earn the following rewards:

  • 2x Catch Candy
  • Limited-time evolution requirement
  • 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubator during the event
  • 2x chances to gain Candy XL for Trainers Level 31 and up
  • Lure Modules duration increase (up to three hours)
  • Incense duration increase (lasts for three hours except for Daily Adventure Incense)
  • Snapshot rewards
  • An additional Special Trade (maximum two a day)
  • 50 percent Stardusct reduction costs for Trades

Primeape’s evolution works differently during Community Day. With this limited-time event, you can evolve Primeape into Annihilape when collecting 20 Fighting Types. Primeape must also be set as your Buddy, so make sure to equip it along for the ride. This requirement makes it more accessible to enhance the creature, especially since it’ll be easier to catch Fighting Types on this specific day. But, once it hits 10 p.m. local time, this feature will return to normal. That means you’ll need to defeat 30 Ghost or Psychic critters instead, replacing the 20 Fighting Type requirement.

Most of the bonuses mentioned above will only be available for the Community Day, lasting around three hours. However, the Special Trades and Stardust discount will have a time extension from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. There’s also a surprise in store for those who take pictures of Mankey. Based on previous events, special pictures trigger entertaining encounters for you to behold. Sometimes, it can lead to an unexpected Pokémon photobomb that you definitely don’t want to miss out on.

Once the Community Day ends, tune in for another adventure with a limited-time Four Star Raid Battle. You can only join these showdowns with Raid or Premium Battle Passes. Keep in mind that Remote Raid Passes will not work for it, so don’t bother using those items. When this event kicks off, trainers will go against Primeape to spawn more Mankeys for an additional 30 minutes. These battles will last from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., where you’ll have more chances to claim a Shiny. Then, you can start looking forward to the following Community Day, which will likely arrive at the beginning of December.
