It looks like the Twitch account of popular content creator PewDiePie has been banned yet again. The ban comes while Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg wasn’t actively streaming on his Twitch account, but rather hosting a never-ending loop of his previous 2017 livestream videos. Given the fact that PewDiePie wasn’t actually live-streaming, there’s no indication as to what the actual ban is for. Furthermore, Twitch typically doesn’t comment on account suspensions or terminations, so unless PewDiePie himself says anything about the ban, it’s unlikely we will know what triggered it.

PewDiePie recently posted a video on his YouTube channel indicating he was taking a break from content creation in preparation for the birth of his first child. As such, it is highly unlikely the ban has anything to do with recent activity, as there really hasn’t been any.

Was PewDiePie banned for his infinite stream?

Once again, we don’t know exactly the reason for the PewDiePie ban. However, PewDiePie saw his Twitch account banned back in May, shortly after he started his “PewDiePie Infinity” live stream. The ban was only for three days, after which the channel went back to looping his old content 24/7. It’s possible that something from his older videos violated Twitch’s stringent ToS (Terms of Service) and resulted in the ban.

PewDiePie hasn’t actually streamed any live or new content on his Twitch channel since back in 2017. The channel has only surfaced for the Infinity VODs or related reasons, so it’s understandably left people curious. We’ll see what comes of this as the respective parties make a statement, if they decide to.
