Palworld: The best Handiwork Pals for your base

Hint: It's not Lifmunk

There are a lot of Pals in Palworld who can help with Handicrafts on your Base, but not all are created equally – some are simply better than others. If you want to know who the best Handiwork Pals are, keep reading.

When it comes to Pals to keep around your Base, the ones who are going to make the biggest difference to your game are those who specialise in Handiwork. These are those who are able to craft or build. In other words, you can set items up to craft and these Pals will do the hard work for you while you’re gone

All Base tasks have four levels and Pals with a higher level for a task will perform it quicker and more efficiently. For example, a level 4 Logger will produce more Wood at the Logging Site in a shorter period of time.

When it comes to Handiwork, a level 3 or 4 Pal will complete tasks much more quickly, which means a lot less waiting around for you and more time to explore.

Level 4 Handiwork Pals

Currently, there is only one Pal with a level 4 Handiwork Skill — Anubis

To capture Anubis, you’re going to have to defeat a level 45 Alpha version of the Pal. To do this, head to Twilight Dunes and you can’t really miss him – he’s roaming around under a giant statue of himself. Conceited, much?

Alternatively, if you’re not feeling like fighting or want to produce a whole sweatshop of Anubises (Anubi?), you can breed the Pal fairly easily using the following pairs of parent Pals:

  • Incineram + Surfent
  • Rushoar + Blazamut
  • Eikthyrdeer + Beacon

Anubis is good for other Base duties too:

  • Mining level 3
  • Transporting level 2

Level 3 Handiwork Pals

There are currently four Pals with a level 3 Handiwork skill and, while they may be a little slower than Anubis, they are a little easier to capture in the wild.

Lyleen

Lyleen can be found on Nature Reserve 2 – the little island in the North East of the map. Be warned, the minute you step foot on this island, you’ll get a wanted level, so tread carefully and be quick!

However, if you want to avoid the potential danger of becoming a wanted criminal, you could breed Lyleen by pairing up Mossanda and Petallia

Lyleen boasts high levels in other Base duties too:

  • Planting level 3
  • Medicine Production level 3
  • Gathering level 2

Verdash

Verdash spawns on another Nature Reserve, this time to the West of the map. Again, you’ll be a wanted criminal if you even so much as dare set foot on this island.

If you want to breed a Verdash, you can use the following pairs of parents:

  • Incineram + Foxparks
  • Mau + Azurobe
  • Grintale + Mau

Verdash makes an amazing “all-rounder” for your base, as it also boasts the following skill levels:

  • Gardening level 3
  • Lumbering level 2
  • Transporting level 2
  • Planting level 2

Wixen

Wixen can be found roaming freely, with no risk of securing a wanted level, in volcanic biomes.

This Pal is easily breedable, too. Here’s some possible parent pairs if you want to breed a Wixen:

  • Mau + Digtoise
  • Rushoar + Dazzi
  • Lifmunk + Dumud

Unfortunately, Wixen’s other Base skills aren’t quite as impressive as her Handicraft, but she can help you with cooking and smelting:

  • Kindling level 2
  • Transporting level 2

Lunaris

I’ll be honest, Lunaris isn’t precisely easier to catch then Anubis but you can find a level 32 Alpha Lunaris in the dungeon to the North East of the Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach Fast Travel point.

Besides that, Lunaris doesn’t appear anywhere in the wild, but she can be bred using the following parent pairs:

  • Mau + Tombat
  • Tocotoco + Verdash
  • Eikthyrdeer + Flambelle

Lunaris’ other Base responsibilities do suffer from lower stats:

  • Gathering level 1
  • Transporting level 1

However, having a Lunaris in your party comes with one major advantage, because doing so will increase your maximum carrying capacity by 50.
