Palworld Lucky Pal Odds

Palworld Lucky Pal odds, Explained

Lucky indeed.

In Palworld, there are a special kind of Pals called Lucky Pals. If you’ve played Pokemon, you can pretty much consider these Lucky Pals the same thing as Shinies. Of course, these Lucky Pals are a bit on the rare side, also like Shinies. Here are the Palworld Lucky Pal odds, or how often you can expect to come across these special Pals.

How rare are Lucky Pals in Palworld?

Lucky Pals are quite rare in Palworld. In fact, according to Pocketpair, you will only come across Lucky Pals about once every ten hours of gameplay. Of course, your results may vary here, as that’s simply how randomization works. I actually encountered a Lucky Pal very early in Palworld, before I had even really left the starting area. However, for comparison, I know people who are many more hours into Palworld, Player Level 30ish, and have still not come across a Lucky Pal.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to increase these odds, either. Unless it’s something super late game that I haven’t found yet. They are absolutely randomly found in the wild, and I don’t believe they can spawn inside dungeons.

Keep an ear out as Lucky Pals emit a sound that sounds like they are glistening, kind of like a jungle. It can be heard from a decent distance and is indicative that a Lucky Pal is nearby. You’ll also notice they are bigger in size and have a sparkle to them.

Are Lucky Pals better in Palworld?

In Palworld, Lucky Pals have a special passive trait that is exclusive to Lucky Pals. This trait, called Lucky, increases the work speed and attack speed of that Lucky Pal by 15%. This makes them a great addition to your party when attacking tougher enemies including bosses, or as part of your Base taking on repetitious tasks such as mining or logging.

The more you have, the effect sort of snowballs. With the increased attack you will be dealing a lot more damage with Lucky Pals, and with the increased Work Speed things will be getting done quicker at your base.

Even though the Palworld Lucky Pal odds are a bit lower than you might expect, it does make it a bit more impactful when you encounter one. Just make sure you have Spheres on you to catch them!
