Palworld: How to get Mind Control Meds and what they do

Keeping sanity up, whatever the cost

There’s a few different medicines in Palworld which can be used to heal your Pal’s minor ailments, from fractures to depression. However, there is one medicine which rises above the rest in terms of usefulness — Mind Control Meds.

Despite the questionable name of this medicine, it doesn’t actually allow you to take control of a Pal’s behaviour, although this might be useful when they’re acting bizarrely on your base. But that doesn’t change the fact that Mind Control Meds are incredibly useful in other ways.

When consumed by a Pal (or human, if you’re that way inclined and have some kidnapped Thugs running around your base), Mind Control Meds can be used to remove any ailment that a Pal may be suffering. Most importantly, though, this medicine instantly resets a Pal’s Sanity Meter to 100%.

Sure, you could actually care about your Pals, give them the best beds, foods and spa days to keep their Sanity up, but why do that when you can just give them Mind Control Meds? I certainly won’t judge your decision here, that would make me a hypocrite.

How to craft Mind Contol Meds

Mind Control Meds can only be crafted once you’ve unlocked and built the Electric Medicine Workbench via the Technology Ladder at level 43, so you need to wait a while before you can craft this medicine.

Once you’ve built the Electric Medicine Workbench, you’ll automatically be able to craft as many Mind Control Meds as you like, provided you have the following ingredients available:

Unlike the lower level medicines that are available before unlocking the Electric Medicine Workbench, Mind Control Meds do not need Beautiful Flowers to craft, making them easier to bulk craft and store for emergencies.

Where to buy Mind Control Meds

Unsurprisingly, there are no Pals which drop Mind Control Meds and while they can be found in chests littered across Palpagos, you have a very low chance of finding any this way.

Instead, head to one of the Merchant’s in either Duneshelter or Fisherman’s Point (in the Desiccated Desert and Obsidian, respectively). These Merchants offer Mind Control Meds as part of their normal selling roster, so you can easily get your hands on them this way. An added benefit of buying Mind Control Meds is that you can get them long before you’ve reached level 43.

There is a downside to this method, though — the price.

A single dose of Mind Control Meds costs 10,000 Gold, making it one of the most expensive items you can purchase within Palworld. Not only this, but they only sell for 1000 Gold, so they’re not worth making to sell as they take a while to make, even with the highest level Medicine Production Pal you’ve got.
