P.T. spiritual sequel Allison Road cancelled

Remember P.T., the “playable teaser” for the cancelled Silent Hills? Well, now the spiritual successor to that, Allison Road, has also been canned for reasons that are currently unclear.

Allison Road had an unusual, if not troubled, past. First, the title was Kickstarter, then suddenly that campaign was cancelled, and Team 17 stepped in to publish the project. In February, the studio found itself looking for a character artist after the game had been in production for over four months.

Perhaps some members of the team left, or money just dried up? I suppose we’ll find out soon enough. At least we still have Visage to look forward to, which is another horror game that seems to be coming along nicely.
