Hyrule Space Program
Oromuwak Shrine is a fun puzzle shrine inĀ Tears of the Kingdom that, like many others, focuses on a specific area of gameplay. Unlike other shrines you may have played, Oromuwak doesn’t focus on any skills or abilities that Link has.
Instead, it’s all about how to use rockets in the game. The new building system gives players nearly endless possibilities, and rockets can play a large part of that throughout the game. We’ll cover everything you need to know to complete the shrine below, but first, let’s take a look at how to find it.
How to find Oromuwak Shrine inĀ Tears of the Kingdom
Oromuwak Shrine is located in the Tabantha Frontier region of Hyrule. The shrine sits to the southeast of Rito Village and the Lucky Clover Gazette. If you have the Rito Village shrine, Gatakis, unlocked, that’s the closest fast travel point. Otherwise, Rospro Pass Skyview Tower is just north of Rito Village.
To get to Oromuwak Shrine from either fast travel point, simply walk east out of Rito Village to the Lucky Clover Gazette and then follow the path southeast from there. Check out the screenshot above for the exact location of Oromuwak Shrine on the map.
How to complete Oromuwak Shrine
When you enter Oromuwak Shrine, you’ll be greeted by a large target on the wall with a ramp facing it. On the opposite side of the room are some rockets. This sets the stage for every section of the shrine, as you’ll need to use rockets in each room to get to the next section.
In the first room, it’s fairly simple. Use Ultrahand to place a rocket on the ramp, just like in the picture above. The key thing is to make sure it’s lying on the ramp, not standing up. Strike the rocket with a weapon, and if placed correctly, it will fire into the target, turning it green and opening the door to the next room.
Puzzle 2
In the next stage, there are three mine carts and a rail going up to the next level. You can ignore the mine carts on the other rails, you only need the cart on the uphill rail. The other carts are simply backups.
Take one of the rockets from the first room and attach it to the cart. Try to get the rocket centered on the cart so it doesn’t veer off to the side and derail. See the picture above for the ideal placement. When you have your rocket cart, hop in and hit it with a weapon to get up to the next level.
How to get the optional chest in Oromuwak Shrine
At the top, you’re one step from the shrine exit. However, before getting to that, there’s a hidden chest here. The chest is on a platform high up in the corner of the room. To get to it, you’re going to need to create your own space shuttle. Take one of the mine carts and two of the rockets from the ramp in this area.
To get the mine cart to fly straight, you’re going to need to attach both rockets to the cart at the exact opposite points. We went with one on either end of the mine cart, centered in the middle of it. See the picture above for the exact placement of the rockets.
The mine cart also can’t stand straight on its own, it will naturally lean one way or the other. Before activating it, make sure it’s leaning towards the corner of the shrine with the chest. Otherwise, you’ll fly off and end up at the previous area of the shrine.
When you have the mine cart positioned correctly, hit it to activate the rockets. You’ll need to jump out and glide toward the chest before the cart hits the ceiling. In the chest, you’ll find a ruby that will fetch a pretty penny.
Finishing Oromuwak Shrine
Now you need to head toward the end of the shrine. To do this, you have two options. You can glide from the chest platform and get to the end with no problem. Or you can attach one of the rockets to a mine cart, just like you did to get up the rail, and use it to fly to the end. See the picture above for the placement of the rocket mine cart.
Collect your light of blessing, and you’re done! Oromuwak Shrine is complete.
