Action Button Entertainment’s Videoball is going to sneak up on everyone very soon. The “real-time strategy shooting sports game” offers that wonderful feeling where within minutes of turning it on, players understand the surface level perfectly. As the amusing video below says, “Videoball is simple enough for a loud party…and deep enough for a quiet party.”

I’ve been waiting to dive deep into this one ever since I played it for ten minutes at PAX Prime last year and couldn’t shut the hell up about it. Yes, it looks extremely simple, but I assure you that as soon as you sit down to play with friends, you’ll be surprised at how much strategy (and shit-talking) is involved.

Videoball will come out July 12 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for $9.99. The Xbox One and Steam versions support six-player local multiplayer while the PlayStation 4 supports four players. All versions can support six players online and there’s bot support across the board, as well as 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 modes.
