In my first few hours playing the game, the eerie environment, combined with the unforgiving nature of the undead, has undoubtedly ushered in the Halloween spirit. That said, the game is very much a work in progress, and developers Torn Banner Studios have already revealed a roadmap for the stuff that is in development.

All No More Room in Hell 2 Early Access concepts in development

There’s no doubt about the new Zombie survival title’s potential, but things are looking pretty rough at the moment. Apart from bugs, the sequel lacks plenty of features as well, and here are all the concepts currently in development.

  • New Responder Respawn
  • Infection System
  • New weapons – M7, M1911, Winchester
  • New zombie themes
  • Improvements in performance
  • Stability improvements and bug fixes
  • Balancing and difficulty improvements
  • UX and UI improvements

The last three pieces will be crucial, as my early experience with the game has been pretty rough. Incidentally, the developers have already pushed out server-based optimizations on the opening day, so I am expecting the experience to improve.

Additionally, the early access roadmap lists some exciting ideas that are still in the conceptualization stage.

  • Map 2: Codename “Hospital”
  • Weapon attachments
  • Multiple responder and character customization slots
  • Starting loadouts
  • Nightmare mode
  • Second game mode
  • More maps
  • More zombie types
  • More weapons, items, and skills
  • Combat improvements
  • Power Plant map refinements

No More Room in Hell 2 is certainly off to a rocky start despite having a decent peak player count on opening night. The developers will have to be quick with the improvements to ensure that player interest remains intact.
