Nintendo has just informed us that on January 19, the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Plaza, NYC, will temporarily close down. Set to re-open on February 19 (with a grand celebration including exclusive merch), it will sport a “new look and feel” (which you can preview below) when it comes back. There will be an updated interior, 3DS and Wii U demos, and a 15-foot gaming screen in tow. The new tagline for the location is “where everyone comes to play.”

Having been to the store before I was pretty happy with the old format, but updates are rarely a bad thing. Just keep this in mind if you’re planning on visiting NYC anytime soon.
