The Nintendo Switch Online App is now available for download on your iPhone or Android device.

The tool will allow Switch owners to check in on gaming servers, voice-chat whilst playing and invite friends into games via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp.

The app will be free to use at first, but it should be noted that a subscription fee will be applied in 2018. This 12-month plan will also allow subscribers access to a library of classic Nintendo titles. It is also mentioned in terms of service that you must be over the age of 13 to use the app, and that cellular data may be used. The app is currently unavailable in regions where the Switch is not officially sold.

As of this writing, the servers for the online app are distinctly not online. They are expected to launch on or around the release of Splatoon 2 July 21.

You can download the app here for iOS or here for Android.
