According to a report by Gamasutra, Nintendo is not planning on entering the PC market anytime soon.

This is probably no surprise to anyone paying attention to the current success of the Nintendo Switch; it appears Nintendo is having no trouble retaining a foothold in the console market currently.

In a quote from the mouth of company president Tatsumi Kimishima:

“We are aware that many consumers play PC games. However, we believe that the integrated hardware-software business is the best way for us to provide the surprises and new gameplay experiences that we want to achieve.”

Their foray into mobile games has been interesting. Pokémon Go was a pretty unexpected success in the eyes of a lot of people. Super Mario Run didn’t do too shabbily either, and people are still shelling out top dollar to collect waifu in Fire Emblem Heroes. It has been nice to see Nintendo branch out a bit and at least attempt to be a little more business savvy than the crusty crypt ridden mummies they typically out themselves to be when it comes to consumer demand. They are my favorite company despite being woefully out of touch the majority of the time and not giving us Mother fucking 3 yet.

Oh and I hate to break it to you, Nintendo, but your games already are on PC thanks to some fantastic emulation. And they look bloody amazing. Just look at this.

LOOK at it. My God.
