For the Summer 2022 edition
It’s no Nintendo Power, but the latest translated Nintendo Magazine issue just arrived online, directly from the aforementioned publisher.
The magazine, which serves largely as a marketing tool, is printed physically in Japan — but a new tweet from Nintendo has provided a digital version that’s been fully translated into English. The focus of this issue, appropriately, is “summer,” with Kirby serving as the cover story. Given that Forgotten Land starts on a beach, it seems like a good match.
Here are some highlights from the Summer 2022 translated Nintendo Magazine:
- A 30th anniversary Kirby special with a giant timeline
- A spread on Nintendo Switch Sports and Ring Fit Adventure, with workout poses to try
- “Summer” themed looks at Pokemon Legends and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- A Mario Strikers: Battle League personality test
- A quick look at all six main characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 3
- A cute in-universe Splatoon 3 Squid Ecology Research Memo
- A micro-calendar for July, August, and September
You can find the full magazine here. Note that going to the bottom right and selecting “contents” will let you jump around.
Ideally, Nintendo does this for all issues of pretty much anything they make. It might take time to translate them, but given the positive response so far, it seems worth the effort.
