We don’t have much longer to wait until Codemasters’ epic RPG Rise of the Argonauts is finally released, and I’d venture to say they know we’re excited about it. I know I am — between the sight of some of the massive bosses I’ll be pitted up against and Codemasters’ talk of pushing RPGs to a new level, well, let’s just say they know what to say to get my attention.
We have more than just pretty new pictures to get us fired up, however. Codemasters has named the soundtrack composer, Tyler Bates, who also scored films like Halloween, Dawn of the Dead, and 300. When questioned about the jump from film to game scoring, Bates said “The mythical nature of Rise of the Argonauts encouraged me to go beyond TV and movies and compose the score for my first video game.”
Rise of the Argonauts comes out Sept 2008 for Xbox 360 and PS3. I can’t wait to spend some quality time with this one.
