Thanks to Famitsu we’re getting an early look at upcoming Wii game Earth Seeker. Developed by a studio called Crafts & Meister, this game tells the story of the destruction of Earth. It’s an action title that’s due out this winter in Japan, and is about 60% done as of now.

New scans give us some story details on the game. This quote from one of the game’s developers, Noritaka Funamizu, sets the stage:

The game kicks off on a post-apocalyptic Earth. All the world’s human heritage gets packed into a spaceship and evacuated off the planet, but the spaceship crashes into another planet and its cargo gets scattered all over the place. The ship’s main computer is trying to recreate Earth’s ecosystem on this planet, but the crash has affected it and it’s producing all this messed-up plant and animal life instead, which is hugely impacting the land.

Humanity has loaded ships with Earth’s precious artifacts but the ships crash and spread them everywhere. The strange plants and animals aren’t making things any easier for them either. And the planet’s original inhabitants? They aren’t happy about the crash or the reworking of their planet, but they’re willing to work with humans in exchange for booze.

GoNintendo has some interesting tidbits as well as some scans. It seems that the guardians of the planet will be used in battle somehow. In these battles you’ll go up against large monsters that inhabit the planet. They use energy balls to fight, and can be advanced with your ship’s technology. I liked that there is one ship called Star Ship France, and it contains the Eiffel Tower (shown above).

This sounds very interesting and imaginative so far, doesn’t it?
