Neuvillette’s Ascension materials in Genshin Impact

Neuvillette debuted in Genshin Impact Version 4.1. Some of his materials are exclusive to the new areas introduced in 4.1. Here’s the full guide to Neuvillette’s Ascension materials and how to obtain them.

Character Ascension

Fontemer Unihorn

These can be obtained by defeating the new Millennial Pearl Seahorse boss. This seahorse can be found in an underwater cave north of the Fortress of Meropide. You’ll need 46 horns in total, which will take an average of 18 boss runs or about 720 Resin at World Level 8.

Lumitoile

These can be found  along the coasts or underwater areas in northern Fontaine. Most of them are clustered in the area between Mount Esus and the New Fontaine Research Institute. You’ll need 168 of them in total.

Transoceanic Pearls

Transoceanic Pearls drop from Fontemer Aberrants, the various sea creatures that inhabit Fontaine’s waters. This includes animals like jellyfish, blubberbeasts, armored crabs, seahorses, sea hares, and rays. They’re very abundant in the underwater areas, so instead of using your Adventurer’s Handbook, I recommend just picking an underwater spot and just killing everything you see.

You’ll need a total of 18 Transoceanic Pearls, 30 Transoceanic Chunks, and 36 Xenochromatic Crystals to fully ascend Neuvillette, more if you plan on leveling his Talents.

Varunada Lazurite

These are the dark blue Hydro gems that you can obtain from bosses and daily commissions. Unfortunately, the Millennial Pearl Seahorse only drops Electro gems, meaning you’ll have to get the Hydro ones elsewhere. Don’t farm other bosses just for gems though; try to buy Dust of Azoth from the Paimon store if you can. They’re fairly cheap and they allow you to convert gems of one type into another type.

You’ll need 1 Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, and 6 Gemstones in total.

Talent Levels

Equity Books

Neuvillette uses Equity books, which can be farmed from the Fontaine Talent domain on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. You’ll need 9 brown books, 63 silver books, and 114 gold books to get all Talents to level ten. This translates to around 2,480 Resin or 13.8 days of farming at the hardest difficulty.

Everamber

These are obtained from the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis challenge, which is the weekly boss domain found to the northwest of the Desert of Hadramaveth. To unlock this challenge, you’ll need to have completed the second chapter of Nahida’s Story Quests. You’ll need 18 Everamber in total, and since this you can only challenge this boss once a week, that means around 8 weeks of farming at the highest difficulty.

Transoceanic Pearls

As mentioned above, these drop from Fontemer Aberrants. You’ll need 18 Transoceanic Pearls, 66 Transoceanic Chunks, and 93 Xenochromatic Crystals to fully level Neuvillette’s Talents. This doesn’t include the materials needed for his character Ascension.
