Need For Speed mobile goes live in China, with a tease of ‘more’ to come

Awaiting global launch.

Need for Speed Mobile, the newest Need for Speed title, has officially launched. The mobile game has gone live in China first, and EA is saying fans should “gear up for more.”

In NFS Mobile, players can race against other players online, and also take part in various missions such as semi-truck car delivery and live events. It is not an NFS title without police chases, and players can experience the thrill of police chases in the mobile game as well. Vehicles in NFS Mobile can be unlocked by the game’s premium currency and real-world money.

NFS Mobile carries the same aesthetics and animation style that players have seen in NFS Unbound. The game introduces players to Heat Bay, a new open-world multiplayer world. There is already a collaboration event kicking off proceedings for the mobile game too, as EA and fashion brand Balenciaga have partnered up to introduce custom Balenciaga car liveries and decals, alongside locations such as Balenciaga’s London store.

As part of the collaboration, Balenciaga’s official website and physical stores in China are also selling NFS Mobile merchandise including T-shirts, hoodies, and caps.

We’ll expect to hear more about a global launch at some point, and will cover more as EA announces it.
