Developers Visual Concepts has released a day one patch for the PC version of NBA 2K25, and Updated 1.3 is now live.
This update fixes some critical bugs that were hampering the experiences of PC players. The update is also scheduled to be released on September 8 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. While the patch is relatively small, it’s going to be crucial especially for those who have planned to grind MyCareer.
NBA 2K25 Update 1.3 fixes MyCareer bug
On a rare occasion, some PC players were having multiple versions of their MyPlayer appearing in MyCareer. This resulted in some of the quests remaining incomplete over time, and players were missing the rewards. Update 1.3 has officially solved that problem for PC users, along with bringing some other changes as well.
- Addressed an issue that could cause multiple versions of MyPlayer to appear in the NBA in MyCareer and potentially prevent certain quests from completing.
- Fixed a hang that some users were reporting when attempting to use the Social menu.
- Resolved error messages and other reported problems when attempting to launch the PC version under certain conditions.
- Fixed connection issues that could occur while playing Starting 5 games in the City.
- Stability and performance changes have been made to improve the overall playing experience.
While most of these bugs have been present on the PC version, Update 1.3 is coming to the next-gen version on consoles as well. It’s scheduled to launch at 2 a.m. PT on September 8.
The PC client has received some significant updates, including the availability of the next-gen version after years of waiting. NBA 2K25 players will hope that the recent changes smoothen their player experience, and allow them to enjoy all the game modes without being bogged down by the bugs and errors.
