Not ten seconds into watching this video for Aerobat, a shoot-’em-up about “reckless self-endangerment,” I fired off a staff email to call dibs on posting it. Holy shit! Gimme.

Your pilot’s ship doesn’t have enough power to juice its weapons and engines simultaneously, so you have to zig-zag past enemies and return fire while free-falling.

“Hyper-responsive controls have been at the core of the design since day one,” says designer Matthew Yeager. “Movement is entirely mouse-driven with near zero input latency, allowing your fighter to dance through swarms of enemies at incredible speeds.”

The game is for sure coming to PC (date to be announced), with Mac and Linux support likely to happen. “Other platforms are possible but will require considerable effort to support.”
