Things have taken a dark turn as The Haunting event casts a shadow on multiple maps and modes. Both Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 offer spooky games for you to sink your teeth into, as well as exclusive Operators from your favorite horror films. You can turn jumpscares and sudden audio content on and off upon launch to personalize your gameplay. This feature can also be tweaked via the settings at any time.

Warzone and MW3 The Haunting event modes
Here’s a look into all The Haunting 2024 modes for Warzone and MW3:

Warzone players can also look forward to a Purgatory Island event from Sept. 25 to Oct. 16. Tune into the celebration to complete challenges and earn rewards.
All The Haunting maps in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3
Modern Warfare 3 players can explore Halloween-themed maps like Drive Thru, Mad Cow, and Ghost Ship. Drive Thru is brand-new to the Call of Duty world and introduces a spine-chilling killer clown restaurant. Meat has also changed up its tune with the Mad Cow variant, bringing a grotesque look to it. Lastly, if you want a fast-paced map, try Shipment’s variant, Ghost Ship.
A ritual site corrupts this beloved map, showcasing strange glyphs, jack-o’-lanterns, and a graveyard. You can dive into the new maps head-on using the Ghost Ship 24/7 or the Drive Thru 24/7 playlists. That way, you can temporarily remove the other maps to focus on the more horrific ones.
As for Warzone, you’ll get two new map variants: Vondel Night and Rebirth Island’s Hellspawn. Zombie Royale and Purgatory take the stage in the Hellspawn map, where it’ll be challenging to see with the surrounding mist. The Vondel map also features the Zombie Royale mode, altering the time of day into night. Honestly, it’s not too much of a change, but the undead should switch things up.
