You’ll be back… really early
The first gameplay footage for Mortal Kombat 11’s next DLC character, Terminator T-800, will be released by NetherRealm Studios tomorrow. Terminator – which uses the likeness of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger but apparently not his voice – is the third DLC character from the Kombat Pack, following Shang Tsung and Nightwolf.
The Terminator came to prominence in the 1984 James Cameron movie of the same name. A part man, part-machine cyborg from the future, it is the Terminator’s responsibility to travel back to the present and assassinate one Sarah Connor, whose unborn son John will lead humanity to victory in a global war yet to have begun. A bit later, he wears comical glasses, appears in a Guns ‘n’ Roses video, and carries a coffin through a cemetery, but let’s not go into that.
The trailer is expected to drop tomorrow, October 1, at “06:00”, although the specific timezone is not noted (One would assume CDT as NRS is situated in Chicago). It will be interesting to see how the gun-happy, heavy-duty combat chassis fares among the high-flying ninjas and mystical sorcerers of the Mortal Kombat universe.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
