Remember when Psyonix’s Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia was announced for the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3? And then they were all like, “Oh, the PlayStation 3 version has been delayed. Here are the Xbox 360 and PC versions, though”? Well, the PS3 version of the title has re-emerged, this time as Monster Madness: EX.
Monster Madness is a four-player, Unreal Engine 3.0 powered co-op monster slaughtering adventure that had a lot of potential, but fell short with broken controls and wonky camera. Psyonix hopes to rectify those issues by tweaking the camera and tightening controls, as well as adding mini-games and other built-in extras.
Nothing excites me more than the idea of fast-paced monster killing with three of my friends, but the Xbox 360 version of Monster Madness left a lot to be desired. Let’s hope Monster Madness: EX makes me happy again when it ships early next year.
