Monster Hunter Rise: SunbreakĀ is the latest game to get its very own Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. During today’s SunbreakĀ digital showcase, Capcom unveiled the fancy new Switch Pro Controller that’s on the way.

The new version of the Nintendo Switch gamepad is set to arrive alongside theĀ SunbreakĀ DLC on June 30. During today’s digital showcase, we got a few glam shots, with more appearing on social media.

The specialĀ SunbreakĀ Switch Pro Controller has a nice little design of Malzeno, the vampiric elder dragon that’s at the heart ofĀ Sunbreak‘s story. No extra-special colors or designs for the grips, though.

Monsters, followers, and more

Today’s showcase dove into many different features on the way forĀ Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. There are new monsters, like the aforementioned Malzeno and some new variants.Ā MH4U‘s scaly Seregios also makes an appearance. Old faces are getting some master rank versions too, to make their hunts feel brand new and even more dangerous.

Follower Quests are also coming toĀ Monster Hunter Rise throughĀ Sunbreak, allowing players to undertake quests with NPCs. These are single-player-only missions, but you’ll be able to team up with some recognizable characters, including those both in the new kingdom and the old village. It feels a little like the Trust system fromĀ Final Fantasy XIV, and I’m hoping it adds a similar boost to single-player forĀ Monster Hunter.

Switch Skills are also getting a big update through the new Swap system, allowing players to flip between loadouts ofĀ Switch Skills. Alongside a new Evade move, it seems like each weapon type will be able to get a little more creative. And the Malzeno Pro Controller will probably help out with landing all those sick new combos.

Monster Hunter Rise: SunbreakĀ is coming to Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30, 2022. TheĀ SunbreakĀ Switch Pro Controller is set to debut on the same date.
