Monopoly GO: What happens to stars when a season ends?

Get a head start in the next season.

Monopoly GO seasons typically last anywhere from one to three months. During this time, you collect stickers to complete albums, which reward you with dice, cosmetic tokens, and a ton of cash for your landmark upgrades. Let’s find out what happens to any leftover stickers you have at the end of a season and whether your stars carry over to the next.

What happens to sticker stars when a season ends in Monopoly GO?

What happens to your stars at the end of a Monopoly GO season depends on the season itself. For example, while the previous Monopoly Origins season turned your stars into a vault for the next album set, the current Making Music season converts your stars into dice rolls. So far, each season has had different conversions for stars, and it’s unknown what Monopoly Games will do once it ends later this year.

For the Making Music season and album set, any leftover stars you have will convert to dice rolls. One star equals one dice roll, with the maximum being 700 stars for 750 dice rolls. In other words, if you don’t plan to purchase a last-minute vault for extra stickers, you’ll at least start Monopoly Games with extra dice.

Overall, this is a solid conversion rate compared to what you get from vaults. With each vault, you can get a maximum of 230, 420, and 575 dice, while the star-to-dice exchange at the season’s end can give you far more. On the flip side, you can also get extra stickers by buying vaults, but this comes at the risk of not getting what you need to complete your albums. You can also give sticker stars to friends if they want to take a shot at an expensive vault for extra cards.
