The March 13 patch notes present a change to Aftermarket Parts by nerfing the Longbow’s JAK Tyrant 762 Kit and buffing the Haymaker’s JAK Maglift Kit. The adjustments aim to balance weapon performance so that neither is more OP than the other. MW3 Zombies Containment Levels have also been fixed, as many players were knocked back a tier when exiting a match.

    • In Hardpoint, additional spawn points were added to decrease the probability of an unfavorable flip.

One of many factors in spawn selection is to avoid a spawn trap. When a player dies soon after respawning, that spawn point is temporarily deprioritized. If there are not enough safe spawn points available, a spawn flip is more likely to occur.

By adding additional spawn points, the system has more safe options available, decreasing the chance of a spawn flip.

    • A Player with no plates will be downed by one mine from a Cluster Mine.
  • Black Sites
    • Increased the drop rate of Black Site keys to 5%, up from 1%.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing the Bunker Buster to fire from the incorrect position when on a moving platform.
  • Fixed a collision issue on Fortune’s Keep allowing Players to exploit under the map.
  • Fixed a collision issue that caused the Geiger Counter to be irretrievable.

Skidrow’s additional spawn points benefit those who have constantly landed in the map’s spawn traps. I know how annoying it can be to be placed in an area that’s easy for the enemy to spot, so a fix like this is definitely worthwhile. Warzone players will also notice an adjustment to Cluster Mines, which now mandates two mines to bring down a fully plated opponent (one mine for no plates.)

As for Ranked Play, the JAK Glassless Optic has been removed since many believed it to be overpowered. More weapon buffs and nerfs are likely to come with MW3 and Warzone Season 3, along with some new additions in the Gunsmith.
