Minecraft is getting a price hike in some regions

Mojang and Microsoft are raising the price of Minecraft “in the spirit of currency exchange” in select regions beginning May 23, 2016. The changes only affect the original PC (Java) version of the game, not any of the newer console or mobile ports, but there’s no sugarcoating this.

You can see the new pricing breakdown below. Note that for regions listed without an “old price” like Brazil and Japan, Minecraft hasn’t yet been sold in their specific currency.

I’m not sure that the modern Hamburglar is an exact match for this story, but the ridiculous image popped in my head and it just felt right on an emotional level, so I went with it.
