Mega Man X DiVE is also coming to Steam in some regions

‘First launched’

Mega Man X DiVE is a curious presence. Sure, we haveĀ Mega Man 11, so it’s hard to say that the Blue Bomber is truly dead when it comes to mainline games. ButĀ Mega Man X DiVE is something else entirely: existing on a plane that sates hardcore fans who want something, anything new to play, and keeping people on the fence because…well…it’s a mobile game.

That might change if this new Steam build actually escapes a small selection of countries. As spotted by Gematsu,Ā Mega Man X DiVE has a Steam page for specific territories (Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand), which you may not be able to view.

Here’s the statement from Capcom Taiwan on the rollout:

“This version will first be launched in the following regions and territories: Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. For servers, players can choose the Asia server for one of the following regions: Region 1 X, Region 2 Zero, Region 3 Axel, or Region 4 Vile. For players who have been playing the mobile version of the game (Asia server), you can link your SteamID and play Mega Man X DiVE by downloading the PC version via Steam. The latest chapter in the classic action shooting game, Mega Man X! Play as the legendary irregular hunters X and Zero, and take on the internet world known as the ‘Deep Log.'”

There is no word on when a potential western Steam rollout might be. In any case, this is good news that the game is growing, and Capcom isn’t going to quickly put the lid on it like they have so many other mobile/web/spinoff ventures in the last decade.
