Later this month, gamescom attendees might feel luckier than the half of the global population that Thanos didn’t instantaneously off. They’ll be among the first people in the world to take a crack at Marvel’s Avengers.

After a couple months of being tight-lipped with gameplay, Square Enix is finally letting people try Marvel’s Avengers. Square Enix says the gamescom demo will have players “[battling] as Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor [as they experience] the preliminary incident of this original Avengers story.” It’s the hands-on version of what we saw behind closed doors in June, which is meticulous detailed in Jordan’s E3 preview.

There’s more as far as Square Enix’s gamescom plans are concerned. Attendees also have a chance to play the Final Fantasy VII remake. This one isn’t as exclusive, though. Final Fantasy VII remake was already playable at E3, and it’s likely the same demo that CJ wrote about.

If you’re going to gamescom and either of these demos interest you, you’ll probably want to beeline straight to Square Enix’s booth as soon as possible. The queues are going to be crazy everywhere (they always are), and Square Enix might be one of the hottest tickets at the entire convention.
