The Fortnite Team revealed in a post on the Fortnite blog today that we will be getting a big Lego Fortnite update on March 26 titled Mechanical Mayhem. The update is technically version 29.10 for Lego Fortnite, and focuses on building vehicles in the popular sandbox game, with three new cars and the ability to customize them greatly with various parts. Lego Fortnite Mechanical Mayhem new vehicles

The major focus of the Mechanical Mayhem update is enhancing and building upon the ability to build your own vehicles in Lego Fortnite. As such, three new vehicles are being added:

  • Speeder – A fast vehicle ideal for quickly traversing biomes. You unlock the recipe for the Speeder by adding a Power Cell to your inventory.
  • Offroader – Intended for taxing people around, the Offroader can carry multiple passengers. You unlock the recipe for the Offroader by adding Flexwood to your inventory.
  • Hauler – The Hauler allows you to transport large amounts of resources with ease. You can unlock the recipe for the Hauler by adding Frostpine to your inventory.

New Vehicle Parts

In order to build the new vehicles in the Mechanical Mayhem update, you’re going to need some new vehicle parts. Here are all the new parts you can use to build vehicles in Lego Fortnite with the Mechanical Mayhem update:

  • Power Center – Load these up with Power Cells to power your vehicles.
  • Wheels – Turn your vehicle in the right direction with both Turnable Wheels and Powered Wheels.
  • Seats – Give your passengers safety and comfort with the Driver’s Seat and extra Passenger Seats.
  • Compost Bin – A new station to turn resources into Biomass, Fertilizer, and Soil. Biomass can be used to create Power Cells to power your vehicles.
  • Wrench – Use the Wrench to assign switches and thrusters to channels, allowing further customization.
  • Illuminator – The Illuminator emits an aura of light, helping brighten up dark areas.

Overall the Mechanical Mayhem update for Lego Fortnite looks like it’s making vehicles a big part of the sandbox adventure, especially because you can customize them to your liking.
