Reports and allegations coming out of Activision Blizzard are reaching farther out, even into the world of plastic bricks. Lego confirmed that it is putting the release of an Overwatch 2 set on pause, as it reviews its relationship with Activision Blizzard in light of allegations about its internal culture.

As reported by Lego site TheBrickFan, the buildable toy company is evaluating its current standing with Activision Blizzard due to allegations brought against the video game publisher.  Because of that, the release of the Overwatch 2 Titan set—previously planned for February 2022—is on hold. Here’s a statement from Lego, provided to TheBrickFan:

“We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard given concerns about the progress being made to address continuing allegations regarding workplace culture, especially the treatment of female colleagues and creating a diverse and inclusive environment. While we complete the review we will pause the release of a LEGO Overwatch 2 product which was due to go on sale on February 1, 2022.”

Several companies have been reportedly taking a look at their relationship with Activision Blizzard following the lawsuit brought against it by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, alleging harassment, discrimination, and a toxic environment at the publisher.

Xbox’s Phil Spencer said they would be evaluating all aspects of their relationship with the Overwatch publisher, and Sony Interactive president and CEO Jim Ryan also sent an email out to employees about the situation, saying “this type of behavior has no place in our industry.”

Overwatch 2, meanwhile, has slipped even further out, with Activision Blizzard saying it’s now targeting a later launch than originally planned.
