A pretty game should be on a pretty screen. Larger screen means the player seems more detail. As much as I love my DS and even DSi, I feel myself wishing I could see some of the better looking ones on larger screens.

Not to sound like a fanboy, but the PSP has a lovely screen. Maybe that’s what Sting was thinking when they decided to port Knights in the Nightmare to the PSP. As we’ve told you before, the crazy strategy and bullet hell hybrid game is lovely. It looked great on the DS. On the PSP it could look even better. And you wouldn’t need that second screen, as you could use the analog nub to move your wisp around. I’m game. Remember how good Yggdra Union looked on the PSP? I’m all for ports like that.

The Famitsu story also says that other new features are added. Expect more tutorial action, a character chat database, and even an opening movie. Rumor is that the release is set for April 22nd in Japan.

I wonder how well the DS version Atlus brought over sold. I’d love to see this PSP version localized.
