We finally have a release date and some more details for the much-anticipated sequel from Warhorse Studios, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
The first game of this ARPG series, Kingdom Come Deliverance, which came out in 2018 is well-known for a storyline based on true historical incidents. It is based on a Bohemian civil war in the 1400s, and it follows one of its survivors, Henry of Skalitz, the son of a blacksmith.
Beyond a rich storyline, the original also came with an open-world environment to explore. Fans of the game will be happy to note that the 2025 sequel will feature the same gameplay formula and a continuation of the story.
When will Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 be released?
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will officially launch on February 11, 2025. This was confirmed via a post on the game’s official X account on August 15.
At the time of writing, the ARPG is still almost six months away from release, but Gamescom 2024 will give us a glimpse of its gameplay early on.
All Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 platforms
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
If you’re wondering whether it will arrive on last-gen consoles, we don’t have any details about that yet.
Gameplay and story details
The story will continue right from where the original left off and the choices you make will impact Henry’s fate. Like the first game, you can engage in different styles of combat ā from horseback or straight-on sword duels, the experience will be versatile. Like the first game, you can play Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 from a first-person perspective, with cutscenes in third-person.
